Date: Monday through Thursday, August 9-12, 2021
Time: Three shifts are available on each day:
- Shift #1 is from 7:00 AM to 10:45 AM
- Shift #2 is from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM
- Shift #3 is from 12:15 PM to 4:00 PM
Details: On August 9th, 11th, and 12th, 3,400 students in our community will come to Sacred Heart Community Service to choose a new backpack and school supplies. This event needs to be on everyone’s bucket list. For the kids receiving a backpack, it’s like Christmas Day. For the volunteers, it’s a heart warming, sole filling day of joy. Spots are limited and we won’t have enough for everyone, so please only sign up for a shift if you are certain you can attend. Sacred Heart Community Service is counting on our help that day to server thousands of families that will be receiving a backpack.
Location: Sacred Heart Community Service, 1381 S. First Street, San Jose, CA 95110
Parking: You’ll want to park across the street in the Walmart parking lot and walk to Sacred Heart Community Service. There will be no parking available at Sacred Heart and parking in the surrounding neighborhood is sparse.
