Mission of Pack-A-Back
To show kids how much we care about their future by providing the necessary school supplies to begin a journey of learning so they are excited and prepared to pursue their goals from day one and realize their dreams and the dreams of their parents.

The Pack-A-Back program is a crucial for the students and families who depend on it. Breaking the cycle of poverty hinges upon access to quality education. By supporting Pack-A-Back you will be helping children fulfill their dreams. You never know where or how the next great leader, scientist or doctor will make an impact on all of humanity. By providing school supplies to a child in our community that could not otherwise afford them, you will be giving that child a chance to receive an education, have opportunities for success and financial self sufficiency, and ultimately contribute back into their communities.
What Impact Am I Having?
According to Forbes, San Jose is the 4th most expensive city to live in the US. Thousands of families struggle to make ends meet; many with stable employment are still forced to make choices among their most basic needs. Each of these 3,800 students have dreams – big dreams of being social workers, astronauts, teachers, doctors, veterinarians, police officers, artists, engineers, soccer players, fashion designers, scientists, and more.
Making this donation is giving a child a tangible step toward his or her dream!
How To Contribute
For the past 15 years we’ve had to turn kids away empty handed. There’s always been more demand than what we could supply. This year we hope to come one step closer to meeting all of the need in our community. Now we need YOUR help!

- Host your own event to raise funds and awareness
- Enroll your friends, family and coworkers into the cause
- Get your company to become a sponsor
- Donate money, school supplies or items for the auction
- Collect supplies for the backpacks
- Spread the word at home, work, and online (how to share)
